Library Time, but “No Storytime Please, Mama.” | Tucson Photographer

I must be the only one with children who despise storytime at the library. I think ‘A’ may be intrigued by it, that is, if big brother didn’t always influence her decisions. Soooo… this is what it looks like for us when we visit the library. Of course, there is a loooot of reading too, but I didn’t dare leave my camera set up alone for a selfie in the middle of the kid-section. Eeeek!

Oh, and I added one in there that is not from the library- can you spot it? The kids were pretending to be packages mailed to us from Santa, then we had to open them up and act crazy-surprised. My hubby thought it would be fun to get in the box too- oh, that was fun to watch.

I should really be blogging client work, but I’m procrastinating… again. 😉

Growth in May | Tucson Lifestyle Photographer

I don’t like to get all braggy, but I feel like I’ve grown so much in May. I’ve learned so many new skills- my head is spinning. What I love most about photography is I know I’ll never know it all. It’s comforting to know that I’ll always have something else to try and master, and then feel accomplished after doing so. Looking through my personal images from this month, I get a real sense of pride. I am proud of how far I’ve come. I can’t imagine where I’ll be in 6 months, especially knowing I have a date with Barb Uil of Jinky Art in August. Her workshops are said to be magical and I don’t doubt that they are. I can’t wait to share what I learn with my clients!

As I watch my little sister (18 years) go back and forth about her major in college, I am grateful to know that I’ve found my path. I know too, that because there are so many areas of photography to pursue, I’ll never get bored. I don’t think I’ve ever felt that way about something. I loved teaching- except that it didn’t completely fulfill me.

Anyway, thanks for hanging out and watching my journey. I don’t really know who reads this blog, but I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me, even when I sucked! 😉

Urban Toddler | Tucson Lifestyle Photographer

It’s getting hotter by the day, so I’m pretty positive I’ll be heading indoors for more of my sessions over the next few months. Since lifestyle sessions are typically captured best in the home (yeah, indoors),  I will be making some changes to my pricing and session offerings in the next few weeks to make these sessions even more inviting.  E-mail me @ jenna@generationsphotographyaz.com to book your session or get more information.

I spent a VERY warm morning with a lovely family this past weekend. Their little guy was so adorable and happy! Toward the end of the session, he began to rub his eyes and show us all the signs that it was nap time – a bit later, he made it even more clear to us by laying down in the middle of the sidewalk with his blankie in hand and thumb in mouth.  I wish I could get away with that!

Hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day!
